One Redesign vs Figma Dev Mode

Figma Dev Mode is a handoff surface. It shows developers measurements, tokens, and CSS-ish snippets so they can read a design accurately, and its MCP server can feed design context to an AI coding agent in your IDE. It shows autogenerated snippets rather than handing you a finished, shippable component the way a code generator does. One Redesign exports React Native, HTML/CSS, SwiftUI, and Flutter from one canvas, each carrying the coordinates you drew. Dev Mode helps a human read the design and write the code, One Redesign produces the code. If your team is already deep in Figma and wants better handoff, Dev Mode is the right tool. If you want the screen itself to come out as code on four platforms, that is what we do.

Where Figma Dev Mode is the better choice

Dev Mode wins on ecosystem. Your design system, your component library, your team's muscle memory and your stakeholders' comments are already in Figma. Dev Mode plugs into that without asking anyone to move. It is also genuinely good at what it claims: measurements, tokens, and design context piped to an AI agent via MCP. If your bottleneck is developers misreading designs rather than developers writing UI code, Dev Mode addresses your actual problem and we do not.

Where One Redesign wins

Dev Mode hands a developer information to work from. We hand them the screen itself, in code, with the coordinates you drew already in it.

Should I switch from Figma Dev Mode to One Redesign?

Only if you are rebuilding the same UI on several platforms and that is where your time goes. Dev Mode and One Redesign are not really the same category, and plenty of teams should use Figma for design review and us for the screens that ship to iOS, Android, and web at once. Stay on Dev Mode alone if you are web-only or your designs live in a Figma system too large to move.
